The Pensky-Martens Digital Tester is used for flash point of petroleum products in the temperature range from 40 to 360°C.

The Pensky-Martens Digital Tester covers the determination of the flash point of petroleum products in the temperature range from 40 to 360°C. The tester covers both “procedure A” (applicable to distillate fuels, and lubricating oils) and “procedure B” (residual fuel oils, cutback residual, mixtures of petroleum liquids with solids) of ASTM D93.

The instrument is heated by an electronic thermoregulator, mounted on a case painted with anti-acid epoxidic products. It is supplied complete with a calibrated brass test cup, covered with a gas ignition device allowing to ignite the testing sample by a manual trip-opening, a motor stirrer for Procedure “A” or “B”, an air bath made in brass with external stainless steel calotte, cooling fan, digital thermometer with PT100, glass probe, gas tube 5 meters long and 30 bar gas reducer. It has to be connected to a suitable gas source to function (i.e. gas cylinder).
