Gay-Lussac Specific Gravity Bottles
The Gay-Lussac Specific Gravity Bottles are used for the determination of the specific gravity and density of fine soils.
The determination of the specific gravity and density of fine soils is developed through three different operations:
the sample, introduced in the specific gravity bottle, has to be thermostatically normalized by immersion in a suitable water bath complete with Adjustable tray and Cover with cooling coil (see accessories), then de-aired using a dessicator connected to a vacuum pump (see accessories) and, finally, weighted.
Glass bottles complete with capillary vent stopper.
The listed accessories also include the safety cage 86-D1113/1 wich is used for safety of the operator in case of accidental failure of the glass essicator during vacuum.
