Workability and Consistency of Fresh Concrete
ASTM defines Workability as “the property determining the effort required to manipulate a freshly mixed quantity of concrete with minimum loss of homogeneity”. It reflects the ease and homogeneity of how fresh concrete can be mixed, transported, placed, compacted and finished without segregation. Many factors can affect workability: water content, cement content and type, admixtures, aggregates grading and type.
