Cement and mortar specimens need to be prepared in suitable moulds compliant with dimensional and hardness requirements specified in the Standard. Appropriate vibrating tables and/or jolting apparatus will achieve optimal compaction of cement and mortar specimens, thus delivering the correct mechanical properties.
